Megaphone’s Vendor Program is open to any adult in Vancouver experiencing poverty or living on an inadequate income. We offer an exciting way to supplement your income. Choose where and when you work, develop new skills and connect with the community.
Vendors sell Megaphone publications on the street to supplement their income. Vendors meet monthly, when the monthly magazine is released, and have access to skills-building, creative, journalistic and leadership programs.
Our Vendor Program offers:

Our sales model is simple. Vendors buy each publication at wholesale cost and sell it on the street, keeping the difference:
- Megaphone magazine — buy for $1.50, sell for $5+
- Voices of the Street anthology — buy for $5, sell for $15+
- Hope in Shadows calendar — buy for $10, sell for $20+
Our publications are high-quality, award-winning journalism, photographic and literary works that you can be proud to sell! Vendors are also published in our publications, ranging from creative writing to photography to community journalism.
Vendors are members of our non-profit society, with a right to attend the AGM, review our financial position, vote and sit on the board of directors.
